This is by far the question I get the most, which is a good thing, because it shows how much the world wants and needs a paranormal show about helping people, (alive and dead.) I love how much you all love this show because it is such a testament to the fact that every ghost show doesn’t have be *just* scares. Of course, those are super fun shows….but we see Kindred Spirits as paranormal with heart.
Kindred Spirits was originally bought by Destination America, (a Discovery owned network.) Once Discovery saw the show though, they loved it enough to try out a paranormal night on TLC. Our first season on TLC did great ratings wise and we were pretty quickly picked up for a season two.
But, by the time our season two was ready, TLC had decided they weren’t really sure the paranormal was working for them after all. So they started to air the show, then decided to send it back to Destination America, where season two finished.
In the middle of all of this – Discovery merged with Scripps networks. This was a massive merger that required government oversight and approval and took quite awhile. Little shows like ours were left in limbo as everyone waited to see where the dust would settle.
The dust has now settled and we are so fortunate to be working with the same people at the networks we always have, but they’ve moved to Travel Channel – and so have we! Travel Channel has been airing our show on Friday nights at 11pm, after Dead Files, to see if our audience is there. We know you’ve seen the show a gazillion times at this point, but I mean it when I say, the best thing you can do if you want us to come back is to watch again and tell your friends who haven’t seen us yet. We’ve definitely been picking up new viewers as I hear week in and week out how people had never seen our show until it started airing on Travel.
We are hopeful Kindred Spirits will return. We are fairly positive that Adam and I will return in some way shape or form to your televisions. We have an amazing group of folks pulling for us at Travel Channel and a really sweet fan base constantly rooting for us.
In the meantime, you can always catch us at one of my Strange Escapes trips, www.strange-escapes.com. (Strange Escapes is my paranormal travel business.) Or check my appearances page to see if I’ll be in your area anytime soon!
Thank you all again for your amazing support. Adam and I know it’s been a long haul, but I promise that what ever comes next will be worth the wait.
